About House of Bitcoin

An independent home for everything Bitcoin

News, policy tracking, treasury data, and open infrastructure – built for people who take Bitcoin (BTC) seriously, and built to last.

Why we exist

Why House of Bitcoin exists

House of Bitcoin is an independent Bitcoin-focused intelligence and education platform. We exist to improve access to accurate, evidence-based Bitcoin knowledge – through research, on-chain analytics, treasury intelligence, policy monitoring, infrastructure resources, and education, all built around a Bitcoin-only focus.

Bitcoin information is scattered by default – price on one site, policy on another, treasury filings buried in PDFs, network data behind a technical wall. We bring the primary sources into one place and keep them current, without a token to sell or a coin to move. We're not trying to be the loudest voice in Bitcoin. We're trying to be the one you still trust in ten years.

What we stand for

Nine principles, no exceptions

These aren't a mission-statement wall poster – they're the actual editorial rules that decide what we publish and how.

01
Bitcoin-only focus

No altcoins, no token launches, no sponsored coverage of other chains. If it isn't Bitcoin, it isn't in scope.

02
Evidence-based analysis

Claims are backed by data and sources, not narrative or price action.

03
Self-custody and self-sovereignty

We treat holding your own keys as the baseline, not an advanced option.

04
Open Bitcoin infrastructure

We favour open, verifiable tools and infrastructure over closed, permissioned alternatives.

05
Long-term educational value

We write for someone reading this in five years, not for this week's news cycle.

06
Transparency over speculation

We'd rather publish 'we don't know yet' than a confident guess dressed up as certainty.

07
Data-driven research

On-chain data and primary filings drive our reporting, not press releases.

08
Primary-source verification whenever possible

We link to the filing, the transaction, or the official record – not a summary of a summary.

09
Not financial advice

Everything we publish is educational and informational. It isn't a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.

Our history

Rooted in 2015

The houseofbitcoin.com domain has been associated with Bitcoin since 2015

houseofbitcoin.com is the canonical domain for House of Bitcoin. Where other similarly named sites or accounts exist, this is the one to treat as authoritative unless another entity is explicitly identified.

Who's behind it

Founder & Keyholder

Charlie X
Founder & Keyholder, based in London

Charlie has been involved in Bitcoin for years, holding the keys to House of Bitcoin personally rather than through a fund or custodian. Before Bitcoin, the background was in domains and web development – a path shared by a lot of OG Bitcoiners who gravitated from Web 1.0 into Bitcoin, not unlike Michael Saylor, who was also known for his interest in domains before his move into Bitcoin.
