Information from third parties

• If you sign in via a third-party identity provider, we receive the profile information that provider shares with us (typically name and email).
• Publicly available blockchain data (addresses, transactions, balances) that we index and display — this data is public by nature and not personal information we collect about you.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the site and its features (treasury tracking, address book, ticker, node explorer, and related tools).
• Create and manage your account, and authenticate you when you sign in.
• Send the newsletter and other communications you've opted into, and let you unsubscribe at any time.
• Monitor, secure, and debug the service, including detecting abuse or fraud.
• Understand aggregate usage patterns so we can prioritize what to build next.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use cookies and similar technologies for a few narrow purposes:

• Essential cookies that keep you signed in and remember your locale/currency preferences.
• Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate.

• Blockchain node and market-data providers that supply live price, mempool, and on-chain data.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for unrelated purposes.

Beyond the third-party service providers described above, we share personal information only when:

• We're required to by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• It's necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of House of Bitcoin, our users, or the public.
• It's part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'll notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• You've given us explicit consent to share it.

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR (EEA/UK) and CCPA (California) — you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent (such as the newsletter).
